Glorious sunshine Saturday so took a stroll through the Market. Every Saturday morning there is an amazing market in Chamonix. If your chair needs recovering or you need new shoes head to the side nearest the swimming pool. The best bit is the other side of Place Mont Blanc where there are stalls stacked with cheese, meats and other culinary delights. Be aware that it is possible to spend a lot of Euros and come away with very little but it is fantastic.
One of our favourite stalls is the roast chickens. Grab a chuck, double bag it and pick up a loaf of bread for an extra-ordinary mountain picnic.
