High Mountain Guides

Make the most of Chamonix with a Mountain Guide

One of the attractions of Chamonix Valley is the Vallée Blanche, an off piste run from the Aiguille du Midi cable car of about 18km. It is an amazing area with several alternative routes to suit different abilities. A high mountain guide is recommended as all the routes are on glaciers. The mountain guide will make your experience of the “Valley Blanche” all the more memorable and safe while choosing a route to suit the conditions and your ability.

Guides can be booked through the Compagnie des Guides or I can book a guide on your behalf. There are a number of native English speaking guides in Chamonix who are available for off piste skiing and snowboarding, ice climbing, rock climbing, mountaineering, ski touring and backcountry snowboarding. Whether you want to do something different and exhilarating or develop your skills and awareness to make the most of the terrain available in the Chamonix valley.

Later in the season ski touring and back country snowboarding is more accessible with more stable conditions and favourable weather. Winter mountaineering and winter ascents of Mont Blanc are also popular.

I can organise a high mountain guide to chat to you about options and conditions at the beginning of your stay with no obligation.
