On the last sunny day before the latest snow we set off up Aiguilette les Houches. On a normal day we would drop a car at the bottom then head to Le Brevent to use the uplift. In the current status we set off from the bottom and skinned up through the forest onto the meadows.
Just as we hit the meadows approaching the chalets some guy on an E-bike passed us. Great to see where people can get to with fat tyres and a little assistance.
We opted for the sunny descent, back the way we came rather than down the North side into Viker’s Couloir. Beautiful spring snow and plenty of space to get some freshies before we hit the track through the woods.
Now it has been dumping fresh for two days and the shovel is getting more action than the skis.
