With the absence of working ski lifts at the moment the ski touring is the way to go. We have been getting out every other day to acquire some mountain fitness and harden off the feet. Gradually we have increased the height gain as our fitness has improved. We have even been lucky enough to find some fresh powder to put some turns in.
Between Christmas and New Year we skied back in to Le Tour to find the car park full. Not just busy but actually chock a block. People were skinning up, snow shoeing and sledging. No restaurants or bars were open.
