Overnight we had about 5cm of fresh at the chalet so headed up to Grands Montets this morning. Managed to get a couple of top cable car trips in with 20-30cm of fresh. Joy of joys. 
Cloud level stayed at around 2500m making visibility a little difficult getting back to Lognon but above that was completely blue with stunning views.
Temperature has dropped so everywhere with snow canons is busy making the stuff. As yet the big freeride area at Grands Montets is still in the making as there is not sufficient snow to make the big jumps.
Yesterday we scooted around the pistes at Le Tour (Domaine de Balme) for the morning as we had 2 new arrivals at the chalet who had only been on a dry slope in the UK. Checked it out and it was great. The pistes were in fabulous condition. Beautiful corduroy and not at all icy. By late lunchtime the cloud had come in and pea soup visibility stopped play.
