We managed to take advantage of the weather and get in a trip to Switzerland for some ski touring. It meant an early start to get over to Leukerbad and the Gemmi lift for 0830hrs but we made it. Following advice from Chamonix Guide, Steve Hartland, we headed for the Lamerenhutte as a base for the 2 nights as it offers many day tour options, is quite high and good for not so good weather. In all we got up the Lamerenhorn on the way to the hut. The Wildstrubel on the next day with spring snow for the descent. Then we had a late start on the final day to get up the Daubenhorn for a powder descent after the fresh snow. Made for some horrid photos as you can see.
