At last we have a significant dump of snow and the valley is opening up. This week we have cleared the drive daily, even multiple times in one day. The fresh snow saw the valley close down while the lift company made it all safe and today, the sun has come out and the valley has opened up again.
During the snow we headed into the trees at Les Houches. Guests today have driven down the valley to explore St Gervais while Breezy and I got out for a couple of hours up to Le Brevent before the lamb shanks went in the oven. Other guests went off to Grands Montets which was mostly closed yesterday to get some fresh tracks. Chamonix is back to business as usual. The pistes are in fabulous condition and the off piste is light, fluffy and getting skied at a fair rate of knots.
