First days skiing of the season Chamonix

Grands Montets Chamonix

On Saturday we skied Grands Montets and were in the lift line as it opened with a few hundred others. Sunshine celebrations

Alpage de Balme

Spring skiing conditions with the freezing overnight temperatures rendering the pistes bullet proof and then the sunshine softening the snow by mid morning.  Likewise the off piste has stayed good but keep well clear early in the morning on south facing slopes unless you want to shake a filling loose.
