The snow condition has been brilliant thanks to the cold temperatures in the Chamonix valley. The pistes to the valley floor on the south facing ski areas have not had enough snow to open. Everywhere else has been stunning. Perfectly groomed pistes with lush corduroy. Carving crazy curves and cruising in the sun.
North facing off piste has also held the powder. Admittedly mostly tracked out where the slopes can be accessed from the lift system. However if one is willing to put the effort in, there is still acres to play with within short hiking distance. So don’t go following ski tracks unless you know where they lead to.
