It is amazing just how much fun can be had in a ski area when all that is open is a gondola to get you up the hill and two chairlifts. No lift lines and acres of completely untracked powder.
The pistes were in brilliant condition. Perfect corduroy with loads of grip and not many people. The off piste was light fluffy powder snow. As the sun warmed the lower slopes the off piste got a little heavier but up until lunchtime there were still tracks to be had.
So far this was the the best day of the season. More snow due for the next two days. What a lovely start for those coming for Christmas.
