Another glorious day so 5 of us ski toured from Grands Montets to Le Tour village over the Col de Passon. Starting from the top of Grands Montets and skiing down over the Argentiere glacier before climbing up to the Col. A couple of hours ski touring up and another 20-30 minute crampon up the couloir with skis on your back.
On the way up we witnessed a huge cerac fall off the Aiguille Vert above Grands Montets. The subsequent avalanche crossed an area of glaciere accessible from the Grands Montets top and almost reached the Argentiere Glacier.
The ski down the Le Tour glacier was very mixed. The only snow type we did not encounter was powder.
