Terrace Bar Monday evenings 7.15pm
Once again there will be an Avalanche Awareness lecture in La Terrace Bar on Monday evenings this winter. Supported by Arc’teryx the clothing brand the lecture will be 100% FREE.
The talks last just over an hour, and run each Monday from 8 December to 5 January. La Terrasse in the town centre has generously agreed to host these presentations again. The talks cover the causes of avalanches, ways to travel more safely, spotting danger signs, and emergency procedures. If you are going to be heading off-piste this winter then you owe it to yourself and your family to get some knowledge first. All presentations will be delivered by a locally based IFMGA Mountain Guide.

As well as general information about avalanches and how to avoid them Stuart includes information on the current snow pack and avalanche danger in the Chamonix Valley. These lectures are highly informative and if you want to go along we can change the time for dinner in the chalet to make it possible.
