Easybus new route Geneva to Chamonix

Airport Transfers from 2€ each way

Easybus

Easybus

The service will start up on the 20th December 2014 and you can book from the 1st December. It will run 32 times a day from Geneva Airport to the train station in Chamonix. As with any of the “Easy” proposition the earlier you book the cheaper it is and prices start at 5€.

There is an introductory offer of 15,000 seats at 2€ each.

Sounds great! So what’s the catch?

Easy bus has 7 UK routes running so it is tried and tested. This new route is in “partnership” with Chamexpress which is a local transfer company. The transfer gets you to the train station and local taxi companies are notoriously expensive (if you can find one). You can always jump a train rather than hump your kit through town or you need to arrange someone to pick you up? There is also the Mulet bus which is free and runs around town every 10-15 minutes and leaves from opposite the station. This will drop at the hospital at the top of the road from the chalet so not all bad.

Having looked at the website for the UK routes it appears that you do not pay extra for baggage, maybe that comes later? You will be able to book on-line at www.easybus.co.uk from December 1st 2014.
