The weather gods have been very good to us in Chamonix and sent us powder. As per normal, after a few days every bit of it within reach of a lift has been tracked. However, venture just a little further away from the ski domains and there is more. So much more.
Our day off at the chalet took us to La Flegere where we used the lifts to get as high as possible. A long traverse took us in the direction of Lac Blanc where we donned skins to ski tour further up towards Col des Dards. A lovely descent to the Lac and then picked our way back into the ski domain. A great day off!
Seeing an Ibex under the La Flegere ski lift is always a good sign.
