This morning was the second time the driveway needed clearing. The cloud in the valley gave way to clear skies and dramatic cloudscapes over the Mont Blanc Massif. The snow on the piste down from the top of Le Brevent was excellent, 4″ of fresh powder on perfectly groomed corduroy piste. So good that we just had to keep on doing it. At lunch time some funky clouds started spreading over the mountains before the valley socked in once again.
Forecast for the coming week is for much more snow in an “active disturbance” which could mean the valley opening up for “business as usual.
