We decided we would try to avoid the hoards at GM and headed to Le Tour with Carolyn, who usually brings snow with her when she comes to stay so lets hope she does!!!! Le Tour is closed apart from the home run down to Le Tour village which is on artificial snow and in really good condition. We arrived and the sun was not yet on the slopes so we decided to do a home run before skinning up to the lovely little Alpage restaurant to see if by chance it might be open for a coffee. Although blue skies, Baltic freezing wind ensured I had 6 layers on for the skin up but the Alpage was open so we had an excellent coffee to defrost before rock hopping down again. This is a great mountain restaurant, not over priced, delicious food but very popular so you definitely need to book. They usually do 2 sittings during the season. Lovely views and great as there was nobody else about , skiing was interesting!!!
