It’s been about 3 weeks since the last snowfall. We have had wall to wall sunshine and cold temperatures which has kept the snow pretty well. The pistes have been great, perfectly groomed for carving and perfecting those turns.
Off piste on the south facing slopes has been sun baked and then refrozen overnight which has been OK for the small window when it has been transforming. The north facing slopes of Grands Montets have been superb. Chalky grippy snow and not too bumped with occasional blown in soft snow as well.
Now we are back to normal January weather. Still cold, clouds and snow again. Just in time for February holidays.
