First snow and crazy lift pass deals

Buying a ski pass can be a confusing dilemma. Now thing has just moved up a notch and could actually give stretch marks on your brain. For Chamonix there are 3 different ski passes available.

• Les Houches – Valid for Les Houches ski domain, 40km of pistes
• Chamonix Le Pass – Valid for Brevent/Flegere, Grands Montets and Domaine de Balme (Le Tour), 104km of pistes
• Mont Blanc Unlimited – Valid for all the above plus the Aiguille du Midi, Montenvers, Domaine Saint Nicolas de Véroce, Saint Gervais, Megève, Courmayeur and the Skyway (both in Italy), Verbier (with a 6+ day MBU- Switzerland) – additional benefits include access to the cinema, museums, swimming pool and free shuttles to Megeve, plus cheap Mont Blanc Tunnel rates, shuttles to Courmayeur. 1003km of pistes

All 3 passes are available for any duration from 4hrs to 21 days. All 3 have discounts for First Snow between 20th Nov and 17th December which is typically a slightly cheaper rate and a 3 days for the price of 2 offer. Fantastic for the cheeky weekend away to get the legs going before Christmas.

Now there is a new website chamskideal.com which basically offers single day ski passes for the area covered by the Chamonix Le Pass for prices from 20€. So, if you are in Chamonix for a weekend, it is worth a quick look to see if it is worth getting a couple of day tickets versus a multi day Chamonix Le Pass.
