The forecast was for sun with cloud coming in through the afternoon. There had been a few spots of rain in Chamonix overnight so potential to find some fresh snow high up in the mountains. Hilary had rented a splitboard from Zero G so we headed up the Aig du Midi and over to Helbronner.
Lovely chilled ski tour and found some completely untracked powder to play with. Just managed to avoid the clouds coming in as we got to the steps up to Montenvers. The train was waiting for us so we had our sandwiches in the carriage on the way down.
