Yesterday we had a bin booked for the top of Les Grands Montets so headed up with a crevasse kit each and skitouring stuff. Destination was the Col de Passon and then to ski down the Le Tour glacier into Le Tour village.
The ski down to the Argentiere glacier was good but loads of tracks so a little choppy. Traversed over the glacier and after a ten minute boot up the lateral morraine of the Argentiere glacier we put climbing skins on. An hour up to the base of the col and then a 25 minute boot up and a sandwich.
The descent was powder snow all the way down to the bush whacking to access La Vormaine nursery slopes. A grand day out!
