I still struggle to get my head around the fact that a mere 16km away the general population speak a completely different language, have better and cheaper coffee and can have blue skies when it is dumping with snow in Chamonix.
You’re right of course, we are talking about popping out of the Mont Blanc tunnel and needing sun glasses when Chamonix was a virtual white out. Pizza, prosecco, powder snow in the trees and sun shine.
