Received a mail from Mike Sweeney this morning who let us know about the forecast for the weekend.
Snow in Chamonix 1.5m of the stuff
Apparently there is gonna be a couple of nice days then an “active disturbance” crossing over on Friday. This will cause “considerable deterioration” and a meter and a half of the fluffy stuff to drop out of the sky.
There were some other minor details on the forecast about a “maritime polar air mass”, high winds and sub zero temperatures but I think we can put up with those.
So; get your edges tuned, service your snow blower and dig out your snorkel. Here it comes!
