Rain Rain Sun Rain Rain

The last week seems to have been memorable for rain. The sun shone one day and the mountains appeared, clarted in snow. Due to the rain, the avalanche risk has shot up and the ski touring trails have been closed by the PGHM. The cross country tracks for ski de fond have stayed open though somewhat soggy. Perfect time to practice our newly found skinny skiing techniques. If we can do it in slush it should be easier when the conditions are good, right?
