Would you believe it; Les Grands Montets opened the lifts this weekend to mark the start of the winter season in Chamonix. We missed yesterday to get insurance and shopping sorted but were up there first in line this morning.
Had a couple of hours riding the pistes to get our legs going on beautifully groomed runs. Off-piste had lots of traffic but also a lot of rocks poking out so we decided to save our bases until the cover is better. Not often that you can do laps of the home run at Grands Montets and have the whole piste to yourself.
