The snow has arrived in Chamonix
The snowfall over the weekend has opened up the skiing and snowboarding in the Chamonix Valley. Today the temperature at the chalet was minus 12 degrees as we left to head up to Le Brevent.
The snow was lovely and grippy with wind blown in powder on the pistes. A couple of the pistes were quite rocky where they had been wind scoured, especially the front face off the Col Cornu lift. Managed a couple of runs off the top which was great with some powder to be tracked off the side. And then there was the sunshine which made the cold more bearable.
