Another glorious day in Courmayeur. Super light fresh snow up to waist deep in places. There was of course the odd pitches which had moguls on and looked lovely and inviting. Then you found the bumps underneath. Not an ideal combination especially on telemark skis.
The North facing slopes at the top of the Youla had been transformed into wind crusted waves so these we avoided. There were also signs of spontaneous avalanches on the north facing slopes.

Also, when in Italy we just had to do the pizza and prosecco lunch stop. There was a rather intriguing person in the Chaumiere who had managed to dye her hair the exact colour of her fleece top. Interesting!
