After almost an hour to get up the Flegere cable car (Brevent cable car is broken this week) we did a warm up run and met up with Jen and Darryl. The four of us then set off for the Col de Dards.
The traverse across from the Floria lift was in exceptional condition and not the usual icy inclined, rubble strewn skid pan one encounters later in the season. Steady away for the climb, lunch at the top and powder skiing for the descent to Lac Blanc. From then on it was cooked and refrozen snow the re-enter the ski domain with odd small patches of soft stuff. Still, well worth the effort, and the wait for the lift.
