Final Ski of the winter season

We chose to go to Les Grands Montets.

Partly because it had rained all night at the chalet and that meant fresh snow up the mountain. But mostly because it was the only ski domain open after Easter in the Chamonix Valley. We were definitely not disappointed with the quality of the snow or the depth. We were joined by Jeff, an American High Mountain Guide friend of ours.
Poor visibility initially along with high winds made the Bochard gondola much more preferable to the Hearse chair lift. Mid morning the sun poked through long enough to get a few photos. As the sunshine increased, the snow got heavier until we had had the best of the day and took the gondola back down to the car park. Would hate to damage ourselves on the home run for the final ski of the season.
