The recent snowfall in Chamonix has opened up a world of possibilities for skiing and snowboarding. We opted to head to Grands Montets where the trees on the lower slopes offer some visibility even when it is dumping snow.
Arrived at 0930hrs and the Plan Joran bubble had just opened which quickly shifts people up the hill. The top lift was closed as was the Bochard but the lower chair lifts gave us unfettered access to the trees and the dream forest. It was deep and face shots were the order of the day. More snow forecast!!!
