Chamonix has given over to Spring conditions with warmth transforming the snow through the day. The Vallee Blanche is in amazing condition down to the Ice Caves at Montenvers. Ski touring is also really popular to access good snow up high. We have been using the Aig du Midi and touring over to the Italian side (they do great coffee), then skiing down skiers right of the glacier, known as the Vallee Noir. As ever the scenery up there is just amazing and changes every day. We won’t mention the 517 steps to get from the glacier up to the Montenvers train station.
